UL- 142
Steel Aboveground Tanks for Flammable and Combustible Liquids

Transtainer Tanks
Tank Service offers an extensive line of tanks manufactured exclusively for the safe transport of fuels.
The US Department of Transportation (DOT) regulates this transport through its Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). These fuel transfer and diesel transfer tanks are duel-certified for transportation as well as storage through UN 31A/ UL 142.
The USDOT issues most of the “Transportation” regulations in Title 49 – Transportation, Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR) which governs the transportation of hazardous materials in all modes of transportation – air, highway, rail and water.
Fuel Tanks
Part 178 of this regulation specifies fuel transfer tank design, manufacture and testing for the mode of transport in which it’s traveling.
